The MHMT Benefit Cricket Match 2018

The MHMT Benefit Cricket Match 2018
22nd July 2018
Wytham Village Hall, Oxford OX2 8QA: Sunday 22 July

This year's match was a "belter"!

Organiser Jonny Bell writes, "It was a great day. Everyone got really involved and the match itself was an absolute belter!

"But it was a big team effort and their involvement is so vital, Marco my fellow Umpire of course but Scho is amazing, he not only sorted the Ground and Village Hall for us again but has secured it again for us next year too...!

"Gil as a team captain contributed too, what, were not sure other than calling 'points of order' and great sledging but that's the way we love him.

"Bernie was Scorer, essential if we are to be able to refer on disputes between team captains...which we obviously required the services of on several occasions.

"But a real Big Up to Scho's daughter Lilah and her equally industrious and innovative friend Juniper, running the raffle, even hand making dozens of extra raffle tickets when they sold out, we had a good selection of prizes they laid out, and they sold bowls of strawberries and cream and slices of water melon all afternoon."

There was also an auction with the top lot being a cricket bat recently signed for this event by West Indian cricketing legend, Sir Richie Richardson!

New cricket kit was kindly donated by RMA Properties, Oxford, to be used at this annual match.
