Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust
Miriam "Mim" Hyman was one of the 52 people killed in the 7/7 London bombings of 7th July 2005.
The Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust was set up by Miriam's family in 2008.
Miriam's memorial: The Miriam Hyman Children's Eye Care Centre (MHCECC) within the L V Prasad Eye Institute in Odisha, India. Miriam was short-sighted, and appreciated her own eye care services. This is a living memorial; a place of hope, healing and rehabilitation, irrespective of the ability to pay.
Miriam's legacy: Miriam's Vision: Working for Community Cohesion - an education resource for teachers of 11- to 14-year-olds, based on Miriam's story. Built broadly around the National Curriculum, it also incorporates British values, including democracy, empathy and tolerance, and themes, including resilience, conflict resolution, rights and diversity. Learners can aspire to building a more cohesive society, safer from extremism and violent terrorism.
All of the Miriam's Vision materials are freely accessible in the Miriam's Vision section of this website.
