Rabbi Alex Wright officially welcomed the Mayor of Barnet, Councillor Eva Greenspan at 11.30am. Six of the victims of the London Bombings were residents of the Borough of Barnet and the Mayor's support is greatly appreciated.
The synagogue, recently rebuilt in Jerusalem stone and wood, was open to the public. The moving sculpture to commemorate the Holocaust by Anish Kapoor, a wall painting by Bill Utermohlen depicting the three Pilgrim Festivals: Pesach, Shavuot and Sukkot were on view.
Many thanks to all who helped to organise the event, to the St John's Wood Liberal Synagoge for hosting it and to all who came to support the MHMF.
