About Us
Our Mission
The Miriam Hyman Memorial Trust supports the Miriam Hyman Children’s Eye Care Centre and the L V Prasad Eye Institute, and raises awareness of childhood blindness in the developing world. We hope to assist in the development of the MHCECC into a dedicated children's eye care institute, extending service provision, training personnel in all aspects of paediatric eye care and undertaking research.
The MHMT is also addressing themes of social cohesion primarily, but not exclusively, through schools. We are collaborating with Miriam's secondary school, Copthall School, to produce an electronic Resource that will promote understanding and respect between communities with diverse cultures, and emphasise characteristics that are common to all mankind.
