East Finchley Festival - sale of Mimento merchandise
Cherry Tree Woods, next to East Finchley Station, London N2
Sunday 25th June 2006

Judith Vandervelde says:

A few friends and neighbours joined John and myself in the park to hold a stall selling Mimento cards cards and the beautiful book, Mimento: Paintings and Pastels by Miriam Hyman. We took around £300 and awareness of the MHMF was raised. It was lovely to be together and to allow local people a chance to know all that is being done in Miriam's name.

A huge thank you to all those who helped out!

This is what Judith wrote before the event:

Hello everyone!

I am running a stall at the East Finchley Festival selling Miriam's cards on Sunday June 25th. I would love it if people could help me for some of the time of the event. I need volunteers from 11am to set up for 12 and then to sell and just keep me company until 6pm.

The festival takes place in Cherry Tree Woods and is a really well attended and suprisingly unsuburban (live bands, variety of food stalls, kids entertainers, fun fair etc). It really is a local event and I am firmly in the belief that a lot of local people would want to be given the opportunity to support the fund. Miriam herself used to come with us to the festival and as you all know she was a real East Finchley girl at heart.

If you are interested in helping please email info@miriam-hyman.com

I hope to see you there! If you can't commit to any specific time then just pop by on the day.

with love
