The Defence Academy Cookbook

Miriam and I worked together at the BBC for many years and during that time we became dear dear friends. We shared our love for life and analysed each others in fine detail; she was always so interested in everything and everyone.

I have put together a Cookbook of which all profits will go to ORBIS, the charity supported by Miriam's Memorial Fund. My husband is currently studying at the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom in Shrivenham. The book is a collection of favourite recipes from wives, tutors, international students, etc. based here at the College. Miriam's mother, Mavis suggested I put it on the website in the hope that friends will support it too. I feel honoured and proud to be doing this for Miriam, in a strange way it feels like therapy.

We used to talk about the prospect of me being an army wife and she would tease me about just this sort of thing. Now I am doing it but for her. How she would have laughed.
